KAHUA COLLECTIVE

Aloha, I'm Karyn-Hoku! 

Born and raised in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaiʻi has always been home to me. I've always had a love for being creative and bringing my ideas to life, which led me to start my first small business during my senior year of high school.

After a few years, I took a step back from my business for about three years. Life took me in different directions, but that creative side of me never really went away. Eventually, I found my way back to creating, and this time, it came with a whole new purpose.

Becoming a mama to my little boy, Kānekoa, changed so much for me. What started as a passion for creating has become a dream I'm building for my family. He's my biggest inspiration and the reason I want to keep pushing myself, even when things don't always come easy.

Kahua Collective is inspired by my love for home, my family, and all the little things that make Hawaiʻi special to us. Every design is created by me, drawing inspiration from the things I love and the place that will always be home.

More than anything, I hope to build something my son can one day look back on and be proud of. Something that reminds him of where we come from and the importance of carrying our roots with us wherever life takes us.

I'm still learning, growing, and figuring it all out along the way, but I'm excited to see where this journey takes us.
